All prices are published in compliance with the Aged Care Act 2024. Your actual out-of-pocket cost depends on your Services Australia contribution rate.

Prices are all-inclusive

All prices below include labour, administration and travel — no hidden fees. Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your contribution rate, set by Services Australia based on your income and assets.

Fully funded — most participants pay $0 out of pocket Clinical support services are covered by the Government for all eligible participants, regardless of income or assets.

Contribution Protections

Lifetime contribution caps

Once you reach your lifetime cap, all contributions stop — no matter how long you continue receiving care. The cap that applies depends on when you entered the aged care system.

Both caps combine home care and residential aged care contributions. Indexed 20 March & 20 September each year. Services Australia notifies you when approaching your cap. Financial hardship assistance is available through Services Australia if needed.

Existing HCP Clients

Grandfathered HCP protections

If you were receiving a Home Care Package, on the waitlist, or assessed as eligible on or before 12 September 2024, you are a "grandfathered" participant with additional protections under Support at Home.

Co-Contribution Breakdown Example

Under the Support at Home program, clients may be asked to contribute a small portion of the cost for certain services — the government funds the rest. The amount you contribute depends on the service category. Below is a worked example showing how this is calculated in practice.

What does the management fee cover?

Your care management fee (10% of your quarterly budget) covers care plan coordination, regular reviews, provider liaison, budget monitoring, and ongoing support from your dedicated Care Manager.

How is my contribution calculated?

Your contribution is set by Services Australia based on your income, assets, and pension status. Clinical supports are always free. Independence and Everyday Living services have contributions ranging from 5–80% depending on your circumstances.

Are there any exit or cancellation fees?

Under Support at Home, there are no exit fees. You are free to change providers at any time. We only charge a cancellation fee if a scheduled service is cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointment.

How are the management fees calculated?

Care management is capped at 10% of your quarterly budget under the Support at Home program. This is set by the government, not by Care Made Easy.

Are the fees subject to change?

Service prices are published on My Aged Care and reviewed regularly. From 1 July 2026, the government will introduce price caps. Any price changes will be communicated to you in advance.

Can I change my provider?

Yes. Under Support at Home there are no exit fees. You can switch providers at any time and your funding follows you. Contact My Aged Care or your Care Manager to arrange a transfer.

What happens to my unspent funds?

You can carry over up to $1,000 or 10% of your quarterly budget (whichever is greater) to the next quarter. If you transitioned from a Home Care Package, your existing unspent funds carry over with no cap.

What is the lifetime contribution cap?

There is a lifetime cap on total contributions. For new SaH participants it’s $135,318.69. For grandfathered HCP clients it’s $84,571.66. Once reached, all contributions stop."
